Ann is married to Rev. Joel Long, and they have been a part of the Trinity family since moving to the area in 2019. She began playing the piano in church at age 12 and has served as director of music or accompanied choirs for churches ever since! Ann’s bachelors/masters in music education are from UNC-Greensboro, and she is a National Board-Certified Teacher.
While serving as President of the NC chapter of American Choral Director's Association and on the board of directors for the NC Music Educators Association, her choral students performed in Carnegie Hall and across the United States in invitational concerts. Ann still enjoys being invited as a clinician and adjudicator for state festivals.
She retired after more than 30 years in NC public school education as choral director/piano instructor, but loves the work she does at Trinity directing Chancel Choir and Trinity Ringers handbell choir! Ann also finds joy doing music with the Trinity Y2K children’s program.
