This service will be rescheduled - check back for updates.

In the wake of the deaths of Alex Pretti and Renee Good at the hands of ICE, and the ongoing deaths of immigrants in federal custody, Trinity Presbyterian Church invites you to gather for a service of lament, prayer, and witness.

We believe our faith calls us to more than silence in the face of injustice. Our core values of Wide Welcome, Deep Discipleship, and Lavish Love compel us to name what is happening in our communities, to bring our grief and anger before God, and to seek together the way toward justice and peace. This service will create sacred space to:

  • Lament the loss of life
  • Express our grief and righteous anger
  • Offer our pain and questions to God
  • Seek hope and direction for faithful actions in pursuit of justice and peace.

We welcome all who are carrying the weight of these deaths, who are troubled by the treatment of immigrants and asylum seekers, and who long to join their voices in prayer with others. In the tradition of the biblical lament psalms, we trust God enough to bring our hardest questions and deepest pain. We gather not to find easy answers, but to stand together and embody the compassionate heart of Jesus for the most vulnerable among us.
